RV update #1 July update
It’s been awhile since my last update! I have been busy with my new business as a Christian fitness coach. I used to be overweight, a binge eater, and a slave to the scale. Then I accepted Jesus in 2016 and maintained a 50 pound weight loss. In my new business, I now inspire other women on their health and fitness journey while celebrating the love of Jesus. Please follow me on Instagram @gracelifefitness!
Now here is the update on my and Elijah’s travels through America in our RV!

My husband Elijah and I walked a bridge over the Colorado River in Page, Arizona. This was the same day I stepped out in faith to start my own business as a Christian fitness coach with Joyfully His Fitness. Part of me is scared to start my own business, but I believe that God has told me to trust Him. I will use my own personal experience and pain with being overweight and having low self-esteem tied with body image in the past. My goal is to inspire other women to find freedom from this same cycle. I pray God works through me to bring encouragement and health to any woman who is struggling with the scale. I want to help other women realize the Truth that the Bible teaches: Our worth is found in God’s love, not in how much we weigh. The Bible says we are God’s beautiful creation:
“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”

Today I began a new BeachBody workout challenge. BeachBody is the workout program I use through my new business as a Christian fitness coach through Joyfully His Fitness. I enjoyed exercising at the campsite surrounded by nature, hearing the morning bird songs.
At night, Elijah and relaxed by the campfire.
Being outdoors in nature gives us the chance to admire God’s creation!

In my morning Bible devotion, I read: "For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south." - Psalm 75:6.
As I start my new business as a Christian fitness coach with Joyfully His Fitness, this passage reminds me that though it is my responsibility to work hard to build my business, it is God who ultimately will bring success. I took the morning to rejuvenate and enjoy a beautiful hike with my husband who is my #1 fan in my new business (along with my moms!)

For the first time in years, I opened the peanut butter jar and dipped in the spoon. I hadn't had a taste since college. When I was a binge eater, I couldn't stop with one bite. If I had one bite, I had two, then three, then lost track, until I had eaten the whole jar and my stomach was in physical pain, feeling sick. In order to lose weight, my only solution was to avoid peanut butter entirely.
But with God's transforming power, I am not that binge eater anymore.
Colossians 3:10 tells us: "and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator."
I have a "new self," and with God's help I no longer binge out of control.
I take one small taste of the peanut butter, savoring the creaminess and the thickness of the treat. Then I take a few more small tastes, enjoying each one, eating slowing. Thank you for this food Father. Please let it nourish me to carry out your work. When I've had enough, I place the remainder back in the fridge. I am completely satisfied with the moderate amount I've bad. No guilt. I no longer need the whole jar.
As a Christian fitness mentor with Joyfully His Fitness, I pray to help other women enjoy favorite foods while praising God, without guilt or shame.
What is a favorite food you enjoy?

We stayed at Stoneyard Distillery in Gypsum, Colorado through an app called Harvest Hosts. There is no charge through Harvest Hosts, but the unofficial etiquette is that you spend $20 on products. Eli met the quota via rum tasting!

My husband Elijah and I will be staying in Breckenridge, Colorado, which is a quaint mountain town west of Denver, for the next weeks. We found a free mountain ridge where we can stay free of charge for 14 days. I am so grateful for the the chance to travel America with Elijah while living in our RV.
I am studying Samuel 2 and reading how King David always offers his gold and treasures back to God in gratitude. I also want to show God my gratitude. I will pray for ways to show Him, for example, by asking Him to send me a stranger I can be kind to or showing me something I can do to be extra nice to Elijah.
He spent all day on YouTube watching tutorials and working on the RV and saved us hundred of dollars doing all the mechanical maintenance himself, even though it was pouring rain and even started hailing. Then he boosted up our power supply so we could run the heater longer to keep me warm in the chilly mountain climate. “It’s my job to take care of you,” he told me.
What do you thank God for?

Living in an RV and traveling America is a beautiful adventure! But it is work too... factors such as maintenance, filling up the water tank, dumping the used tanks, servicing the generator, doing laundry and Laundromats.... these tasks can take the whole day. Elijah and I had planned to take care of a long list of maintenance tasks on Sunday afternoon.
We visited a new church in Breckenridge, Colorado called Rocky Mountain Bible Church. The congregation was so friendly and warm to us travelers! But when they unexpectedly invited us to their church picnic after service my first thought was my to-do list. Then I realized I needed a serious priority check! Here we were in a new church, meeting Christians who wanted to spend the afternoon getting to know us better, and all I could think of was my chores?
I mentally pushed the chore list to the back of mind and started getting excited about the picnic.
Elijah and I were not disappointed! Surrounded by the beautiful Colorado mountains as a backdrop, we met several families and members of the congregation who joked with us and welcomed us to the area. We even got invited to another Bible study on Tuesday night.
“That was one of the friendliest groups of people I ever met!” Elijah remarked to me later.
I am grateful that I did not let the stress of my mundane chores interfere with Elijah’s and my quality time spent in love with God’s people.
“So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.”
